  1.                              STARTUP INSTRUCTIONS
  2.                                  FOR ACCUTAX
  3.  
  4.                   (Tax Preparation Software for 1985 Tax Year)
  5.  
  6.  
  7.     These instructions assume you have two  floppy  diskette  drives.  If  not,
  8.     adjust the instructions where necessary.
  9.  
  10.         STEP ONE - BACKUP THE ACCUTAX PROGRAM DISKETTE
  11.  
  12.           1.  Insert the AccuTax program diskette into drive A.
  13.           2.  Insert a blank, formatted diskette into drive B.
  14.           3.  Then, at the DOS A> prompt, enter
  15.  
  16.                        A>COPY *.* B:

  19.        STEP TWO - PRINT THE DOCUMENTATION
  20.  
  21.          1.  Insert your DOS diskette into drive A.
  22.          2.  Insert the AccuTax program diskette into drive B.
  23.          3.  Turn on your printer and align the paper.
  24.          4.  Then, at the DOS A> prompt, enter:

  26.                        A>PRINT B:ACCUTAX.DOC

  28.          5.  Be sure to read the documentation thoroughly.

  31.        STEP THREE - REGISTER YOUR USE OF ACCUTAX
  32.  
  33.          1.  Tear off the registration page of the documentation.
  34.          2.  Fill it out and return it to ACCUSOFT with a check for $35.
  35.          3.  If you ordered ACCUTAX directly from ACCUSOFT, you can ignore this
  36.              step, since you are automatically registered.

  39.        STEP FOUR - STARTING ACCUTAX
  40.  
  41.          1.  Insert you AccuTax program diskette into drive A.
  42.          2.  Insert a blank,  formatted work diskette into  drive  B.  This  is
  43.              where you will save your tax returns. This is optional. If you are
  44.              only preparing one tax return,  there is probably  enough  storage
  45.              room on the program diskette.
  46.          3.  Then, at the DOS A> prompt, enter:

  48.                        A>TAX85

  50.          4.  At the main menu, go to option 4 and set your system parameters.
